Complex Support Needs
For participants managing several services, providers or significant support requirements.
Specialist Support Coordination helps NDIS participants with complex support needs understand their plan, coordinate multiple services, reduce barriers and build a stronger support network.
Specialist Support Coordination is a higher level of NDIS support coordination designed for participants with complex circumstances, multiple providers or significant barriers to accessing and maintaining supports.
Specialist Support Coordination is commonly referred to as Level 3 Support Coordination. It is designed for NDIS participants whose support arrangements are more complex and may involve multiple providers, higher-risk circumstances, major barriers or the need for stronger coordination between services.
The goal is not simply to organise appointments. A specialist support coordinator helps identify challenges, coordinate the right supports, strengthen communication between providers and support the participant to build greater confidence managing their NDIS supports over time.
Specialist Support Coordination is an NDIS-funded support that helps participants with complex needs coordinate multiple services, address barriers, manage challenging situations and build a more stable and effective support network.
This level of support may be suitable when a participant’s situation requires more intensive coordination than standard Support Coordination.
